The Brief
To celebrate PUBG Battlegrounds' 7th anniversary and their May game update, Krafton wanted to treat players to a nostalgia-themed live string quartet performance, that would see the game's iconic music adapted for the classical music genre.
The goal was to celebrate the fantastic music of PUBG whilst generating excitement around player’s return to the iconic Erangel map.
The Creative
Leveraging our state-of-the-art studio facilities, we planned a visually stunning, immersive musical performance that blended captivating sounds with dynamic visual projections.
This approach promised not only to showcase the exceptional range of PUBG's music, but also to deliver a unique, engaging live musical experience that no other battle royale had ever done before.
The Result
A visually stunning musical performance that saw the string quartet, City String Ensemble, surrounded by 5 huge screens that projected gameplay that meticulously mirrored the tempo of the musical performance, in turn placing them in the world of Erangel.
The performance was a huge success with the YouTube VOD now amassing over 1 million view.s
